Theresa Garcia is certified by the Rosen Institute as a Bodywork Practitioner, Bodywork Teacher, Movement Teacher, and Senior Movement Training Teacher. She is also a Certified Massage Therapist by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) and a Certified Somatic Therapist by the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP).
Theresa practices Rosen Method bodywork “An approach to wholeness and well-being through the body” which uses sensitive, respectful, and transformative touch.
Theresa is on the faculty at Rosen Method: The Berkeley Center, where she is a Senior Movement Training Teacher and a Certified Bodywork Teacher. Theresa studied and teaches with various senior Rosen Method teachers, including founder Marion Rosen. She has taught Rosen Method Movement in Canada, Europe, Australia, and Mexico, and teaches weekly classes in the Bay Area.
A San Francisco native, Theresa graduated from San Francisco State with a B.A. in mathematics in 1977. Prior to coming to Rosen Method, Theresa worked in the corporate world for 18 years in various information systems capacities. She is a student of the Alexander Technique and mindfulness meditation, and is delighted to invite others to rediscover their inner essence through Rosen Method Bodywork and Movement.

Making Rosen Method Bodywork Appointments
Appointments can be made by calling 415.812.9917 or the Rising Phoenix Integrative Medicine Center at 415.795.1202 and either talk directly to or leave a message for Theresa Garcia (follow the voice prompts). Appointments can also be scheduled by email. Contact Theresa at firstname.lastname@example.org.
San Francisco: Monday, Wednesday, Friday Noon – 7 pm
Los Altos: Thursday 2 pm – 8 pm
$150 per 1 hour session
Payment is due at the time of service. Payments may be made with cash, check made out to Theresa Garcia, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. A $25 fee is charged for returned checks.
Although Theresa Y. Garcia does not accept insurance, some insurance companies provide reimbursements. Please check with your insurance company regarding their coverage and reimbursements policies.
Clients must provide two calendar days notice to either cancel or reschedule an appointment. If less than two days notice is provided, clients will be charged 100% of the full fee for the appointment.
We require that all patients have a current credit card on file to use for billing “late cancellation” fees.
