Helen Ye, MS, LAc is an Integrative Chinese medicine practitioner who uses acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary recommendations, and other methods to treat her patients. Helen has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare environment and has developed programs in major medical settings. She also utilizes this vast experience as Rising Phoenix’s Director.
In addition to practicing at Rising Phoenix Integrative Medicine Center, Helen sees patients at the University of California, San Francisco’s Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. This position aligns with her vision of collaborative integrative medicine: specifically 1) the forward movement of integrative medicine alongside research, education, and training cross-disciplines and 2) the access of integrative medicine to underserved populations.
Previously, for 16 years, Helen worked at California Pacific Medical Center’s Health & Healing Clinic – one of the oldest, largest and most sustainable integrative medicine centers at a hospital. She developed and grew the Chinese medicine practice and worked on formulating programs to expand the reach of Chinese medicine and integrative medicine in different areas. She also worked on cultural competency and diversity-related issues affecting the Sutter Health system.
She has studied with numerous teachers and practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine and incorporates her own experience and gentle touch to caring for her patients. In addition, she continues to develop and explore new techniques to provide the best care possible.
Her background includes particular work in stress management and women’s health, and in individuals who have complex health histories including immune dysfunction, digestive disorder, pain, and those in hospice care.
Helen holds a Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and an undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley in Public Health and City Planning.

Group Acupuncture 50 minutes — $40
Home Visits For Chinese medicine, consultations, acupuncture and non-invasive methods.
Integrative Chinese Medicine (ICM) Consultations and Acupuncture Treatment A review of your individual and family health and social history, along with traditional diagnostic methods, will be used to identify your primary imbalances, and recommendations will be provided. Acupuncture Treatment provided.
Non-Invasive Treatment Traditional non-acupuncture methods to support your body.
Nutritional Consultation From a Chinese medicine perspective, your diet will be reviewed. Customized recommendations will be provided based on your lifestyle, constitutional needs and genetic predispositions.
Pre- and Post Surgery Support and Care In combination with acupuncture, herbs, dietary and lifestyle activities, recommendations will be customized for each individual based on their individual needs before and after the specific surgery scheduled. The surgeon’s team and other clinical team members’ care plan will be coordinated to meet their concerns and your needs to ensure you have what you need to have the best outcome leading into and after your surgery.
Wellness Checks Identify how well you are doing, vulnerable areas you tend towards during stressful times, and how best to stay well and age well into the future.
Payment is due at the time of service. Payments may be made with cash, check made out to Helen Ye, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. A $25 fee is charged for returned checks.
Although Helen Ye does not accept insurance, some insurance companies provide reimbursements. Please check with your insurance company regarding their coverage and reimbursements policies.
Flexible/Healthcare spending accounts cover acupuncture. Save your invoices and submit per your administrator’s instructions for reimbursement.
Clients must provide two calendar days notice to either cancel or reschedule an appointment. If less than two days notice is provided, clients will be charged 100% of the full fee for the appointment.
We require that all patients have a current credit card on file to use for billing “late cancellation” fees.
