To give physicians with clinical practice the basic tools to diagnose and treat Lyme disease and associated diseases.

Conference  & Pre-Conference Workshop Description

ILADS Annual Scientific Conference will be held October 16-18, 2015 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  The meeting will be preceded by a Thursday, October 15th, pre-conference workshop, Lyme Fundamentals. This one-day workshop is geared to practitioners who are new to tick-borne disease diagnosis and treatment or would like a refresher course to hone their skills. Exhibitors with the latest products in the field of tick-borne diseases will be on-site to share their knowledge.

Conference Objective & Goals

This scientific session will provide evidence-based medicine that describes the clinical spectrum of tick-borne diseases, their diagnosis and treatment, and the assessment of co-morbid conditions.

*  To learn the clinical spectrum of tick borne infections with an emphasis on breaking research that can have direct impact on patient management.
*  To learn the pathophysiological mechanisms of chronic disease that apply to tick-borne infections
*  To learn cutting edge research that has the potential to impact diagnostic and treatment for the sequelae of chronic infection
*  To learn appropriate treatment strategies for acute and chronic tick-borne infections
*  To learn about co-morbid conditions that contribute to chronic illness
*  To learn the appropriate medical literature to build an evidence-based medical practice

Target Audience
MD, DO, ND, DMD, DVM, PhD, PharmD, RN, NP, PA, DC, LCSW and select alternative medicine providers. Student Physician, residents, or interns may register at a discounted rate. ILADS Annual Conference is open to medical professionals only at this time.
